IFA Launches: ASUS

ASUS come out with a few new devices across categories – smartwatch, tablets, router, PCs and smartphone.


The new Zenwatch 2 is an IP67 certified smartwatch that comes in two sizes – 37mm and 41mm. It has 18 straps and three case colour options  and includes 50 watchfaces for customization and works with Android and iOS through Android Wear. The company claims the smartwatch gives two days of battery life and gets charged from 0 to 50% in under 40 minutes.

The company also unveiled its new ZenPad S 8.0 (Z580CA) tablet. As the name suggests, it sports an 8-inch (2048 x 1536) QXGA screen. It runs on Android 5.1 with ASUS’s ZenUI on top and is powered by Intel’s Z3580 chipset along with 4 GB of RAM. A similar specifications list but a larger screen are what the  ZenPad 10 boast. It comes in WiFi and WiFi + 3G connectivity options.



The Zen AiO S is an all in one Windows 10 PC  with a  (3840 x 2160) IPS display. It comes with the 6th-generation Intel Core up to i7 processors and for gaming-grade NVIDIA GeForce GTX960M graphics with up to 4 GB of video memory. There’s also the new VivoStick PC, which is an HDMI dongle, weighingunder 70 grams, that turns your screen into a full Windows 10 PC. It has 2 GB of RAM, and WiFi, Bluetooth ans USB connectivity options.

ASUS Zenfone Zoom

The new ZenFone Zoom has a 13 MP 3X digital zoom camera, called the world’s slimmest camera phone with 3X digital zoom. It is powered by Intel’s Z3590 chipset and 4 GB of RAM. The new router, RT-AC-5300, is said to be the world’s fastest consumer router. It supports speeds up to 1000 mbps at 2 GHz and 2167 mbps at 5 GHz bands. The router has 8 external antennas for better coverage and less latency, and also supports MU-MIMO. Other features include 2 LAN ports, WiFi a/b/g/n/ac/ad, AiCloud 2.0 integration.
